Jump Off
--If you completed your Personal Mission Statement, I'll take it--place it in the black basket on the front table.
--Pick up your self-evaluation from Mr. Martin at the front table.  Flip through the self-evaluation and read any comments that Mr. Martin has provided.  If any of Mr. Martin's comments require follow-up on your part, take the appropriate action (e.g., if Mr. Martin poses a question, write a response to his question right on your self-evaluation document).  Once you're finished, re-submit the self-evaluation.

HW
Mandatory assignment:
--The Personal Mission Statement is due at the beginning of next class.  Use both the copy of pages 90-91 of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens and your "The Great Discovery" to complete the task at hand.  Be prepared for Mr. Martin to "grill you"--defend your creation!
FYI:
--At this point, you are expected to have "mastered" the contents of the "Deepening Our Understanding..." notes document (especially Habits 1-4).  Expect Mr. Martin to check on your knowledge of, understanding of, and ability to apply the information sometime soon (hint, hint)!
Optional (but highly encouraged!) assignment:
--If you are dissatisfied with your current performance in English 9, set a goal for improvement--make your future happen!
Another optional assignment:
--Purposefully read sections of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens in order to "beef up" your "Deepening Our Understanding..." document.  This, of course, will further prepare you for any future assessment (hint, hint...again!).
