--MLA format instruction (Mr. Martin tweaks sample essay)--jot down format notes for future assignments/tweak your own essay accordingly
DURING THE NEXT BLOCK OF TIME, YOU SHOULD TWEAK YOUR ESSAY BASED ON NEED:
1.)  oral reading of first sample introduction--circle what you believe to be the thesis statement--share out/make any necessary thesis statement improvements together
2.)  discuss method of hooking and overall effectiveness of introduction--make any necessary improvements together
3.)  model topic sentences for body paragraphs based on thesis statement
--repeat #1 and #2 for the remaining introductions
--continue typing your essay--body paragraphs that match up with your thesis statement (topic sentence[s], detail[s]/tieback[s], concluding sentence[s]) and conclusion (which likely addresses the "so what?")--make sure to attend to language use and conventions as you type--can you be totally finished with your essay by the end of the block?

HW
