English 10 Honors--3/11/2019

HW (Practice/Take-Home Assessment)
--Complete 45 minutes of Membean training in three different days before 11:59 PM on Thursday, 3/14 (see the "English Department Membean Routine" sheet).
Writing
--The "Conventions of Literature Written Response" is due at the beginning of class on Friday, 3/15.  As part of class on Wednesday, you will have some more time to work, and I will continue meeting one-on-one with as many of you as I can.
--Continue reviewing the conventions of literature, bearing in mind that you are expected to apply your knowledge and understanding (to Lord of the Flies, to your free reading books, to anything, really!) moving forward.
--Beginning on Wednesday, 3/20, you will be taking an examination that mirrors the New York State Regents Examination in English Language Arts (Common Core).  Please come prepared!
HW (Class Preparation)
--FINISH your free reading book.  Work toward fulfillment of the Free Reading Course Component for Marking Periods 3 and 4 as per the parameters set forth in the document you received last class block.    
  • One-pagers are due NEXT TIME (Wednesday, 3/13).
    • Class time will be given to complete this task.

  • Voicemails are due by 11:59 PM on Wednesday, 3/13.
