Jump Off
--Please pick up a copy of the sheet from the front table (rubric, HEDI scale, and rubric language) so that we can go over its contents in preparation for today's Writing Workshop.

--Please take out your copy of the grammar hammer document from last class block and turn to the back of the front page.  What you see will look like this:

--read instructions for remainder of the "The Grammar Hammer" document and add commas to the sample sentences
--complete PRACTICE
--go over PRACTICE via the SMART Board, reiterating rule/tips

*FYI: ANY BLOCK 4 BDF STUDENTS THAT WOULD PREFER TO TAKE THE ASSESSMENT ON FRIDAY AFTER ADDITIONAL REVIEW CAN DO SO!*

--continue the assessment to the best of your ability until you are finished
--When you finish, please place your assessment in the black basket on the front table.  Then, obtain your Chromebook from the cart in the back of the classroom.  Back at your desk, log in, log in to Membean where today's quiz will deploy, and complete the quiz quietly and independently.  Good luck!

Assessment #2 -- Vocabulary Quiz #1
--continue the assessment to the best of your ability until you are finished
--When you finish, log in to ThinkCERCA and access your writing piece from earlier in the course.  Then, begin reviewing the feedback provided.

Writing Workshop -- Article of the Week/ThinkCERCA #1 Improvements/Conferencing
--continue reviewing the feedback provided
--improve your writing piece as per the feedback
*DURING THIS TIME, I WILL CALL STUDENTS UP TO THE FRONT TABLE TO GO OVER YOUR IMPROVEMENTS.*
--When you finish making improvements, please read your free reading book!

Before You Leave
--fully shutdown your Chromebook, return it to the proper slot, and plug it in via a cord

HW (Practice/Take-Home Assessment/Class Preparation)
--WE ARE TAKING A BREAK FROM MEMBEAN 10/11-10/17; HOWEVER, YOU CAN STILL TRAIN OVER THE COURSE OF THESE 7 DAYS (AND ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO DO SO TO RECOVER SOME CREDIT IF YOU HAVE FALLEN BEHIND)!
--Complete Membean training until you have earned 100 correct responses (approximately 45 minutes) over three different days before 11:59 PM on Thursday (10/24).  (See the "English Department Membean Routine" sheet.)
