--Please grab your Chromebook from the cart in the back of the classroom, log yourself in, and access your research paper.  Then, take a look through grammar hammer assessment.

--Reminder: It is important for you to stay caught up with regard to all of your coursework.  It is in your best interest to check the blog and Schooltool often.  Additionally, if you have an "INC" for a Marking Period, following up with me ASAP would be wise!

Writing Workshop -- Research Unit: Writing an Academic Argument
--moving your essay from good to GREAT by...
    • Control of Conventions
      • continuing to find/fix some of the common conventions errors that have been identified
        • missing or misplaced possessive apostrophe
        • missing comma after an introductory element/transition
        • missing comma in a compound sentence (before a FANBOYS)/unnecessary comma with a FANBOYS
        • missing comma in a complex sentence (WUBAIS at the beginning)/unnecessary comma in a complex sentence (WUBAIS in the middle)
          • WE WILL CONCURRENTLY REVIEW/APPLY OUR REVIEW, AND AT THE END OF THIS BLOCK OF TIME, AN ASSESSMENT WILL OCCUR.

      --Read at least 10 pages of your free reading book (memoir still?!) between now and next class.  ALWAYS BRING YOUR FREE READING BOOK TO CLASS!  During the final marking period, I intend to randomly check for books and include your level of preparation in my reporting via Schooltool.

      --Please access your academic argument Google Doc between now and next class and attend to any feedback provided so that you can continue moving your essay from good to GREAT!
