Senior English--4/16/2012 & 4/17/2012

Jump Off
--Pick up the vocabulary study strategy sheet from the front table.  Read the directions quietly to yourself.

S. the C. -- agenda/rationale/HW, clarify study strategy directions

Instruction -- Vocabulary Unit #7
--independent work time as per directions
--go over word list--share tips/tricks for use in next portion of the agenda and while studying

Transition -- pick up the sheet entitled "Fill-in-the-Blank Review/Instruction" from the front table

Review/Application Activity -- Hamlet Act III/Vocabulary Unit #7
--read directions together/share rationale
--independent work time as per directions
--go over by re-reading the summaries--students offer up words for blanks (3-for-3? Pick next person?)

Transition -- put previous sheet(s) in binder, clear desk of all but a writing utensil, move around at desk while music plays (brief break)

Assessment -- Hamlet Mid-Play
--Mr. Martin goes over directions before handing out assessment
--assessment handed out
--15 minute block of work time--STOP!
--rest of class to finish remainder of assessment

*vocabulary book
