Writing
--Here is the to-do list for today's class block:
- Log in to Membean and complete the quiz that has been deployed. Consider completing a 15-minute training session, too (if time permits).
- Complete the "Soft Skills Self-Assessment" document for Marking Periods 3 and 4.
- I encourage you to access the blog so that you can specifically recall what we have been up to since 1/28 that you should be considering.
- Take care of the free reading course component for Marking Periods 3 and 4 (if you have not already done so).
- Continue moving forward on the writing assignment quietly and independently.
- DURING TODAY'S CLASS BLOCK, I WILL CONTINUE MEETING WITH STUDENTS ONE-ON-ONE AT THE FRONT TABLE.

--The "Conventions of Literature Written Response" is due at the beginning of class on Wednesday, 3/20.
--Continue reviewing the conventions of literature, bearing in mind that you are expected to apply your knowledge and understanding (to Lord of the Flies, to your free reading books, to anything, really!) moving forward.
--Beginning on Wednesday, 3/20, you will be taking an examination that mirrors the New York State Regents Examination in English Language Arts (Common Core). Please come prepared!

--Be thinking about the memoir genre. Whose life/what "type" of life would you like to read about during the last 12 weeks of the school year?
--Continue reviewing the conventions of literature, bearing in mind that you are expected to apply your knowledge and understanding (to Lord of the Flies, to your free reading books, to anything, really!) moving forward.
