English 10 Honors--6/12/2012

Jump Off
—The following individuals have indicated that they need to present as per the nature of their projects: Lily Cisco, Kate Davin, Jillian Foley, and Daisy Goldstein Cross.  Thus, these four will "kick off" our class today. 
—Turn in any and all books that belong to me by placing the books on the front table.

—Pick up a copy of the Works Cited page from the front table.  Mr. Martin will be around with your scored final writing assignments.  (Though you may be tempted to go through all of Mr. Martin’s comments and “process” your score, resist this temptation.  You’ll have time to look through comments later!)
—Take out your research guide, and open up to the final page.  We will work through this page together at the start of class by working with our final writing assignments.

*take out your final exam study guide and be ready to ask Mr. Martin questions
*take your WANTED poster from the pile in the back of the classroom—WILL YOU KEEP THE POSTER AS A SOUVENIR OR LEAVE IT FOR MR. MARTIN?
*open the envelope next to your desk and read the contents therein

—Take out your research guide (three-page packet from last class), and open up to the second page.  We will work through this page together at the start of class by revisiting out last writing assignment.  (By the way, you will get your essays back on Friday!)

—When finished with the quiz, take out your vocabulary book and open it to page 117.  Look through the Unit #10 word list and star any words that you think you know already.
